Oleksandr Mukomelov talks about the table “Mister X” and his work.

Prostir86: How came the idea to make the object entirely of glass?
O.Mukomelov: It was the idea to create a visually light table, which will complement the interior, but it won’t take too much attention. Often the decision to coffee tables and other accessories made when the main image of the interior is formed.
Prostir86: In what styles of interior table would look like the most harmonious in your opinion?
O.Mukomelov: I didn’t think about the styles when working on it. Mister X combines modern tinted glass and a classic silhouette. It is mix of styles that classical interior makes a more modern and modern interior makes it more classic.
Prostir86: Why Latin letter “X” is the base of the table? What does it mean for you?
O.Mukomelov: “X” – it’s an unknown. At the beginning of each project there is a story of suspense.
Prostir86: What is the trend in product design will be the next couple of years? In what direction will develop your studio?
O.Mukomelov: Definitely people today as two thousand years ago, have basic needs: preparing food, in the exchange of information, mentoring and training, homemaking and healthcare. All that remains now. We are planning our lines of products in the field of research and service areas.
Prostir86: What innovative projects of your studio, you most proud of?
O.Mukomelov: Projects that are currently in operation and I look forward to their implementation. Since it is the most up to date information and the maximum we are working on.
Prostir86: What foreign companies your cooperation has been most successful?
O.Mukomelov: The company Kikkerland (USA) made a great number of our humorous products, some of them were Best seller. And for a long cooperation with the Shock now, one of a series of kitchen sinks Mono is a top sales leader.
Prostir86: What projects are you working on now?
O.Mukomelov: I am currently working on a collection of plumbing appliances and specialized equipment for rescuers.
